I cant say enough about my experience with Janelle. Not only did she deliver a high quality tattoo, but also provided me with a memorable experience. All staff in the shop are friendly and extremely talented. I cant wait to book my next appointment. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!

During a visit to Madison, I wanted to get a new tattoo. After visiting several shops, I walked into the clean and friendly environment of Rockwell Tattoo. I was fortunate to be introduced to Seneca who was so approachable and easy to work with. He came up with some great sketches and was able to get me tattooed quickly. He's a super cool guy and very talented artist. His line and color work is phenomenal. I'm so happy with my tattoo and am only sad I can't go to Seneca for all of my future work. Great shop, great artist.

I have not gotten a tattoo at Rockwell, but I have gotten a tattoo with Janelle previously and I can recommend her work regardless of what studio she's working at. You would be smart to book her. Her attention to detail is incredible.

Hands down the best tattoo shop in Madison. I've been to many of the more well known shops in the area but these guys are not only awesome people to work with in general, they're artwork is phenomenal and speaks for itself. I work with Dustin in particular and would highly recommend him to anyone who asks, but with that said everyone there does great work. I'm ecstatic with what I've gotten done there so far, thanks Dustin!

My experience with Starkweather and Colton has been very poor. To start, we arrived to my appointment on time, but ended up having to wait 15+ minutes to get started. Colton said he would be able to do my tattoo in the smaller size he had printed, but it turned out poorly. If he wasn't able to do it as small as he had printed it, I was more then willing to have it larger. I have since tried to get in touch with Colton a number of times over phone and email to get the tattoo touched up, but have not received a response. To top it off, the cost was $100, and I tipped on top of that, though the tattoo took about 10-15 minutes to complete. I understand there is a minimum, but to charge this much, and do a poor job, and then not respond when looking for a touch up is just bad business. Very, very, disappointed.

I had the great opportunity of getting a tattoo from Janelle Hanson. She took my idea and created an amazing design that was exactly how I imagined it. The entire time of being tattooed, Janelle was kind and funny and made me completely relaxed. I get a ton of compliments on my tattoo and I can’t wait to get another one done by Janelle.

Really friendly and incredibly talented staff here. My wife had some fairly complex custom work done with Char that looks amazing. She's received a ton of compliments from friends and strangers alike.
I had a very simple piece done by Seneca and he was incredibly friendly and helpful even for something quick and simple.
Pricing is very fair and they were flexible with scheduling.
The artists here have some really impressive portfolios and the shop is remarkably clean and bright. Parking kinda sucks but there is plenty of space on the sidestreets if needed.
I will definitely be returning for more work here in the future.

I had been looking for an artist that would be able to execute an illustrative style retro-scifi sleeve. I located Janelle Hanson @ichasebadgers through her instragram page and thought that her talent and versatility would be a perfect fit. She was interested in the piece and IT IS AMAZING! It is even better than I had imagined. She is always responsive to my messages, concerned about my comfort and does the most amazing work. I drive from Milwaukee just for her. If you are looking for an artist that has strong line work and will create amazing art for you, she is THE one!
