I love them and I also love how the ink keeps its quality after healing. They are also friendly and very experienced people!
They are a little pricey, so don’t go if you are on a budget!

Got my first tattoo here from Brian. They did a great job, from scheduling and prep, to the tattoo and instructions for recovery. While not needed, Brian offered and touch up if necessary. Very happy we chose Southern Star, and highly recommend.

It’s the Booba Bash
I was here just yesterday to get my fifth tattoo. I was a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon. The shop was clean and the staff friendly and professional. I found a design I loved online and they had me to email it to them. I think the artist that did my tattoo was named Josh (I'm horrible with names). He was fantastic. I'd recommend this shop to anyone wanting to get great art at a great price. I'll probably be back in the not so distant future to get number six.

I got my first tat with Brian 2 weeks ago & it was a great experience, looks fantastic, and is exactly what I wanted. He worked with me to get the color just right. In fact, I liked it so much that I went back a week later and got another one by Brian. Again, he worked with me to get the font and size just right. I highly recommend Brian.. he does great work and is steady with his hand. The pricing was in line with current tattoo pricing if you want quality work that's going to heal well and look great for years to come. I highly recommend Southern Star Tattoo on Ponce... there's a positive Karma vibe going on in there!

Can’t say enough good things about this place, everyone is so friendly and they do great work, I’ve been tattooed here several times with friends and Cara at the front is always so fun, pleasant and helpful. We’ve gotten tattooed by Josh, Brian, and George before and everything has come out clean and done quickly
