Jes is the BEST Tattoo artist I've been to. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE my tattoo. He has a very gentle hand, and great Personality. I hardly felt him on my skin. I'm looking forward to going back next year for him to give me one of my Bearded dragon, Pete. Iron Quill in general is clean, their staff is welcoming, chatty and super friendly. I could've stayed here and hung out for hours. Thank you Jes!!

Awesome shop to get tattooed. Very welcoming and relaxing environment. All the artists and staff are so nice and put you at ease from the moment you walk in. Appointments are well organized and on time and it was one of the best tattoo sessions I've ever had. Can't wait to go back next month to continue work on my half sleeve with Kylie. Thanks all!

Top notch in every way. Sogdiana did extensive, intricate work on my arm over several all day appointments. I am blown away by her ability to maintain top quality work as hours go by.
Add to that, Iron Quill has a wonderful and welcoming environment. Everyone I meet there seems like a friend I've known for years.

Beware!!!! I had an appointment to get background color on an existing tattoo by Kylie. The consult was good. During the work I felt like she was more focused on chatting with another tattoo artist then focusing on the work. She would stop frequently to elaborate a story or talk about all the things she owned and places she had lived. The tattoo work ended abruptly when her next appointment walked in. She charged me $200 an hour! I paid it but expected that I would have any issues getting a touch up for the work. Iron Quill has let me know she will only be in one week for the rest of the year and of course I’m out of town then. I asked about another artist doing the touch up because the color did not hold and I’m really disappointed in the work especially considering the cost. The response I got back was that Kylie is a “guest tattoo” artist and they don’t know when she’ll be back and other artists aren’t comfortable doing the work. So I guess the just hire anyone one and don’t care about professionalism at all. I have many tattoos and I have never had an experience like this. Do not go here!!!

I did a walk-in for a small project a few days ago and Amy was just awesome. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed. The experience was smooth and professional. Plus the tattoo is gorgeous! Honestly it went so far that Amy asked for consent before starting and let me know I could have breaks if needed. Badass and kind. Thank you!

UPDATE: Changed from 3 stars to 5 after chatting with the owner about this. They did a fantastic job of talking through this situation, making me feel more comfortable about this shop, and rectifying the blown out tattoo. I'm happy to report I will be returning to my favorite tattoo shop :)
I recently got my third tattoo with Iron Quill, and it will likely be my last.
I booked my appointment almost 2 months before the date I requested, and it was pushed back twice. When I got there at 8:30pm, I waited an hour before I was invited to the back to actually get my tattoo. This made me feel as if my business was not important nor appreciated. When I was initially addressed my artist was not wearing a mask, and had no idea what tattoo I wanted.
I would have been fine with all of this, but I was charged $200 + tip for a tattoo that has a blurry edge and took less than 30 minutes. It was simple line work - I would have thought that an "internationally recognized" artist could at least give a quality tattoo when they charge that much an hour. I am extremely unhappy about this.

Sogdiana did a truly beautiful tattoo for me today! She’s an incredible talent and I feel very lucky to have her art on my body. Very clean, professional, and caring environment. Cannot recommend her enough! Will be going to her for future pieces :)
