A Dead Anchor Tattoo & Body Piercing is located downstairs in 1925 Monroe Street, downtown Madison, WI which is walking distance from Camp Randall Stadium. The artists here specialize in Tattoo & Piercing procedures including, Piercing Landscaping, Flash Work, Custom Designs, Portrait Work, Cover-ups, and much more. Upon moving to the Madison area not too long ago, I was in search of a new parlor. After looking through many portfolios and artists, I found not only a shop that cares deeply for their work, but also one that made me feel beyond comfortable to enjoy a few hours of my time with. A Dead Anchor delivers nothing but the highest caliber in their work and it often goes without saying they are great to get along with.
Whether you’re looking for one style or another, each artist brings their own flair to a design that makes a tattoo one of a kind. Whether you’re looking for realism or something more traditional, A Dead Anchor does it all. Never once has their been an issue with communication when going through the process so long as one is clear about what they are looking to get and understands that this a custom shop.
It is always nice to find a tattoo parlor that goes the extra mile in exceeding all expectations. A Dead Anchor is that shop and delivers on all fronts making you want to come back time and time again. Keep up the amazing work!

There's nothing better than a beautiful custom tattoo! I have had several other tattoo experiences but nothing compares to A Dead Anchor. Brandon drew up an incredible piece of art for me. The finished result is better than I could have imagined. Not only was the work great but it was done in a clean, safe environment for a fair price. I would definitely recommend supporting these artists for a permanent piece of art to wear that you won't regret.

I've got a number of tattoos from Brandon, as well as a piercing and have always been happy with the results. Brandon works hard to make sure his people are thrilled with his work, and will work hard for you. He's whip smart, funny as hell and a really good business man.
I have not had work done by Froad, but a friend had a very unique piece done, and it came out fantastic! His portfolio is very nice, and if I were still local, I would not hesitate to have him work on me.
Both guys have worked hard to transform the shop into an amazing space. They put a LOT of hard work into it, and it really shows.

A Dead Anchor is a great place to get tattooed! One of my friends referred me here and it's my favorite place to get tattooed. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone is extremely friendly. Brandon touched up a tattoo I already had and also gave me a new tattoo. Brandon took the time to hear what I wanted and added his personal touches as well which made the tattoos that much better! Great people, very professional. Brandon spent about a half hour with me on the phone for my first tattoo, explaining the process and details for my simple tattoo. They scheduled me immediately and were prompt and ready to go. They were exceptionally clean and tidy. All around very professional. I had an all day tattoo with Brandon. He sketched the tattoo on an tablet before we got started and I was able to see how various color combos would affect the final piece. In the chair, he was very personable and made an all day tattoo seem much shorter. He did great work and I'm extremely happy with how my leg piece turned out.

These guys are amazing, from the moment you walk in the door you get a great atmosphere matched with awesome artists that are willing to work with you to get the best tattoo possible. They make you feel super comfortable and produce amazing work. I've been to other tattoo shops in Madison and seriously, none match the process and the end product that I get from them. They take the time to listen to what you want and make sure that you get an original tattoo that looks badass, not to mention they're super clean which is always important. I highly recommend them.

EVERYONE in the shop is so sweet and funny! They really made me feel welcomed and at home. It was my first time getting pierced and the atmosphere had me so calm despite being afraid of needles in the past. They were very thorough and careful. Shout out to Lady B, she's hilarious and ridiculously kind. Love to everyone at Dead Anchor, they're amazing and deserve the world.
