Derek pierced my nose a few weeks ago and he did a great job! He answered all of my questions and was very personable and professional. He did a great job of explaining the process and putting me at ease. He even recommended a piercer for me to visit in my city in case I have any questions or problems.

My friend and I visited Asheville and made an impromptu stop at Forever Tattoo. I got my navel pierced by Derek back in May. He was very approachable yet professional. Upon learning about my sensitive skin, he was able to suggest a different type of metal that would be best, and he made sure I was doing alright during the entire process.Two weeks later, he called to check up on my piercing to make sure it was healing correctly. I definitely give my recommendation. Plus, he has a cool story of how he got to Asheville.

I live in Charlotte and came to Asheville on vacay with my boyfriend. We decided to stop in and get some tats; neither one of us could be happier. John did such a great job on his and Taylor did mine! Taylor is literally amazing!! She did such a great job on my tattoo. It looks so clean.. better than I even pictured what it would look like!! She was also great at talking me through the spicy parts of my arm lol I’d be willing to drive from Charlotte back to Asheville to have her do a bigger piece for me. Love love love her!

Words can't even begin to explain how impressive and great the staff are here. I got a triple flat piercing and am more than pleased with it. Derek Ian, who pierced me, is extremely talented and has an extraordinary knack for finding designs and places for piercings that really make the piercing look great. Just within five minutes of talking to him you realize his passion and impeccable knowledge he has for piercings. They use top of the line equipment and sterilization process that, I would say, is hospital grade. Great people and amazing outcomes. I've been to many tattoo/piercing places and this is not just one of the best but THE BEST place I've been to. I live forty minutes away, but it's worth the drive and I don't see myself going to any other place.

I came to Forever Tattoo and Piercings to get my septum pierced at the end of July. It was my first piercing other than my ears, needless to say I wanted to get the best quality I had access to. I'm from Greenville, SC which is about an hour and a half from Asheville. I did some piercing shop recon in the local vicinity and came upon Derek Ian's portfolio. I fell in the love with the aesthetic and vibe of his portfolio. Top notch stuff, really! After a few scheduling mishaps, Derek Ian set aside a personal time slot to arrange my piercing and pick out my jewelry. He was so professional the entire time, yet still very personable and relatable! It was a seamless process that took no more than 30 minutes. I've gotten COUNTLESS compliments on the septum ring he installed and couldn't be happier with how it's healing. Will definitely be going back to him for many more piercings to come!!

I did not get tattooed myself but my husband recently saw Rob for some work and he did a fantastic job. He put in way more effort than we even expected him to in order to get this presision piece just right, and we came expecting great things on a friend's recommendation. It's a nice place in the heart of downtown Asheville. He was very pleased with his experience.

We were visiting Asheville and this shop really stood out to me. First of all, it’s extremely clean and upscale to say the least - the type of place you would want to get work done at. The guys that work here are true artist, my artist was the owner of the shop and he was extremely talented and understanding of what I wanted in my tattoo. I didn’t want just a picture of something, I wanted a story something that meant something to me but also described what I went through in my lifetime. I never imagined getting a large tattoo, but after meeting with Rob I knew it was destiny that brought us together. He listened to my story, came up with an amazing piece of art and went at my pace. The tattoo took a few sessions, again, he went at my pace not his - I truly admire this type of artist and atmosphere. He was an amazing soul, down to earth, humble, and I’m so glad we found his shop. Definitely recommend!!!

Absolutely fantastic place!!! John got me booked and did my tattoo. Not only was he a delight to speak with during the process, he also did a fabulous job on my script for my forearm. Considering doing another saying on my other arm and I'll definitely be back to have John do it! My experience with Kerry Burke at Forever was more than amazing. It was my first time getting a tattoo and she could not have been more supportive and willing to give me the best possible experience. She recreated a very intricate drawing in an extremely beautiful and detail-oriented way, making sure that I got the exact design that I wanted. She was kind and understanding, helping the process go extremely smoothly. The price was also wonderful! I would gladly go back and would highly recommend Kerry to anyone looking for a great tattoo. My 16-year-old daughter had her nose pierced by Derek Ian at Forever Tattoo and Piercing and we were really pleased. The price was fair, the earring was high quality and Derek was friendly and took a lot of time with her. He explained the process step-by-step thoroughly before she made any decisions, and she didn't feel rushed or pressured to pick any one style or price range. The shop is very sensitive to hygiene and safety, and Derek made sure she knew how to care for the piercing at home and what to look for in case there was any pain. He called a few weeks after the piercing to check up on her too. I learned a lot about the process and will be taking her back there to purchase and change out jewelry soon. Highly recommend.
