My friend and I decided to go to Savanah for a girls weekend and wanted to get friendship tattoos while we were there. We chose Black Orchid based on the great reviews. Jose was our tattoo artist. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the tattoo and felt like I needed to leave a review so others are aware. First the tattoos dimensions were about 2 x 3 inches. I have attached a picture so you can see the tattoo is a simple design with no color. I paid with tip almost 200 dollars!!!! I have many tattoos and know I was totally taken advantage of. I probably would have just paid the outrageous cost and not left a review if the tattoo was any good. The lines are crooked and there are many mistakes you can see with some lines being thicker than others. I will go to my tattoo artist when I get home to see if he can fix the mistakes. Jose was a nice guy but his skills were just not there to be charging that much.

Came in for a couple honeymoon tattoos and they fit us in with Jose who is a awesome artist! Can’t say enough about this place and the amazing nice people that work there! Don’t waste your time going to any other of the other shops in savanna! We called about every shop in town and dealt with nothing but stuck up people that didn’t have time for us! Not this place! 5 out of 5 stars from us. Thank you for your time and hospitality

They’re the Verizon of tattoo shops. Yeah they do amazing work but, you can go somewhere else that does amazing work that won’t make you put down a 300 deposit. And have you possibly wait over 6 months to get tattooed lol.

Jeff gave an overcharged price initially, then agreed to a lower price. The piece was simple line work of seven words above the knee. We had to have him fully connect a letter, go over another letter and it ended up with two letters being obviously thicker than the others. He didn’t suggest thickening the others after, he had to be asked to make the others match. No information was given about healing. It seemed like some major not giving a care vibes. The front desk person who greeted us was super sweet, made the visit not a completely bad experience. We ended up getting charged $20 lower than what was agreed to, assuming it was because the artist knew the spacing was off and what not. The person getting the tattoo was new to it and it was pretty clear, I am concerned about if someone went in without the courage to say anything.

Super clean! The staff is phenomenal! My cousin and I both got pieces done by Cari. Freakin love them! We'd gotten a second one if she'd had time. She's so lighthanded! She has definitely gained two new clients.. six hour drive and all

I've been getting some work here lately from Camden. He is the sweetest little baby bear I've ever met and his work is phenomenal. The first time I came in it was as a walk in. They were all super sweet and accommodating. I always have a pleasant experience here, which is almost more important to me than the actual tattoo itself. I would definitely recommend this place for all your tattoo needs!!

Everyone was very friendly and made me feel welcome. It was my very first tattoo and Austen really made me feel comfortable and chill. He gave me honest and realistic advice about what I wanted which was much appreciated! I got a simple outline and the lines are sharp—I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. Mags Beam is an amazing artist! I love the tattoo that I got from her (a huge piece that took 20+ hours, though only the first part is pictured), and my husband was so impressed with her work that he went to her also.
She’s friendly, professional, and has a light touch. Well worth the money and the wait… she books up months in advance so plan ahead.
