Electra Tattoo: A Mixed Bag of Reviews
Electra Tattoo is a tattoo and piercing shop located on State Avenue in Marysville, Washington. The shop has a mixed bag of reviews, with some customers raving about their experience and others expressing disappointment.
The shop has a friendly staff, and some customers have praised the cleanliness and professional atmosphere. The artists are said to be skilled, with some customers calling them "master artists" with "attention to detail." However, other customers have expressed disappointment with the quality of their tattoos or piercings. One customer complained that their tattoo became "blown out" and now requires a cover-up or removal. Another customer claimed that their septum piercing was "completely butchered" and had to be removed by another shop.
Some customers have also expressed frustration with the pricing and customer service. One customer complained that they were charged $108 for a tattoo the size of a dime, with no detail or shading. Another customer was disappointed with the response time to their email inquiry about a tattoo, saying that they waited over a week for a response and then never heard back after giving the go-ahead for artwork.
Overall, Electra Tattoo seems to have a mixed reputation. While some customers have had positive experiences with skilled artists and a professional atmosphere, others have expressed disappointment with the quality of their tattoos or piercings, as well as pricing and customer service issues. If you're considering Electra Tattoo for your next tattoo or piercing, it may be worth doing some additional research and reading more reviews to get a better sense of the shop's strengths and weaknesses.

This is where I go for all of my tattoos and I've never regretted it. They keep improving on their work and always a clean and friendly environment. I've never had any sort of issues with any of my tattoos here. The artist are professional and always helpful with designs and very forward with pricing. Prices aren't expensive for the work that gets done in my opinion.

Just finished getting a tattoo from Larissa. And it turned out beautifully. The butterfly was feminine and not cartoony like I wanted it I cannot express how beautiful it looks. She was so kind and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. And it was amazingly priced! Itβs a very meaningful tattoo and I cannot thank her enough for this beautiful piece! I will return and 100% recommend!

Lance and Zack are awesome! Came in on a Friday afternoon with 2 other people as a walk in. Both Lance and Zack were able to take care of us and send us out with great tattoos. Really appreciate the time, attention and artistic input that both artists were able to give.

This is a great place to get a piercing! Super quick, nice, overall great vibes. I cane to get my nose ring out because the people I went to before weren't good. Coming here was so much better! I highly recommend it.

Joey pierced my ears and my sisters septum, both are healing beautifully. The shop was clean and Joey was very nice. Will return for future work.

My sister and I went here to get tattoos and I wanted replacement jewelry for my tragus piercings. The tattoo artist was rude to us and would not engage us in conversation but would chat with the piercer instead. I paid for a nice set of tragus jewelry but the piercer could not get the ball twisted on properly and kept dropping pieces. She was having trouble so she asked the tattoo artist to help and he dropped the ball also and then tried to shove the wrong size (too big) in my tragus and I had to point out that it was the wrong size and he was Stretching it. Donβt waste your time or money. As soon as I got home they both fell out anyway. Iβve never had a piece of tragus jewelry just fall out before. Awful shop.

Both of my daughters just had a helix piercing and the piercer did a wonderful job! I had my nose pierced here a few years ago and had a great experience and knew my girls would, too. I can't remember the name of the person, who did their piercing, unfortunately. My daughter thinks it could have been Alex. I would definitely go back and recommend this place! They are also taking precautions because of covid which made me feel a lot better.

I came in November 2018 for piercings for both my partner and I, we worked with Zach, ( Instagram handle Znwtattoos ) we both really enjoyed him so my partner asked about his tattoos, she ended up getting angel wings on her forearm, and touched up another tattoo. Both her and I built a rapport with him and I saw some work on the wall I really liked, I had asked about a larger sugar skull on my thigh to be drawn up. I gave a few pictures for color and design but ultimately wanted him to give me something original. The art that I received Wasn't quite what I expected but I still liked it, after 2 sessions being that it was a very large piece on my thigh and very detailed, I still was not pleased none of the original ideas were incorporated, and it looked much like other heads her had done, I had mentioned to him from the very beginning I wanted it to have lots of color because of how large and detailed this was, I didn't want it to look like a black patch on my leg. The 2nd session was to be finishing this piece with color and shading. IT WAS ALL FILLED IN WITH BLACK SHADING. After Zach said, hed finish it in a few weeks I was slightly devastated, I am pretty sure he forgot about the color, but still I was hopeful. I reached out in February (about 6 weeks later) to finish my tattoo I didnt get a response. Finally after a few attempts over about two weeks I called the store, Lance another artist (Instagram handle "thegamesweplay" ) told me that Zach was no longer there and had moved away. This was extremely upsetting. I am now $450 into an unfinished tattoo. Zach had now responded and said he told Lance about our dealings and Lance could finish it .
This should be two different reviews but google will only allow one.
I scheduled with Lance, it had to be scheduled about 6 weeks out, due to his booking, I was anxious about this but okay somebody who will finish this. (I have several tattoos and know artist don't like finishing other peoples work, or "fixing it") I had received no follow up or even confirmation of my requested email to Lance. SO I showed up to what I thought my appointment time was: at 12. I was greeted by a really nice young lady who was tattooing, she said Lance was caught in really bad traffic and would be there shortly. okay I understood as I DID GET STUCK IN TRAFFIC. So I sat down and kinda had small talk she had said she took a bunch of robitusson cause she wasn't feeling well, I also wasn't feeling well (I had a cold) and made it clear that I was sick. Then another young lady walked in from the back maybe 20 minutes later and sat at the front counter (I thought she was a receptionist because she was receiving people as they came up to the desk) , I told her also that I was waiting on Lance she said he wasn't coming in until 1 (first girl said he was in traffic), which was news to me cause I thought the appointment was at 12. So I went to taco bell grabbed a taco and came back. When I left this girl was on her phone and when I came back she hadn't moved.
Well about 2 hours later (145pm), I finally see Lance as hes taking back another client while I am sitting there just confused. So I ask what is going on I thought I had an appointment Ive been sitting here for hours how come nobody has even said anything to me, and if he even knows I am waiting on him. He comes up and says I don't remember our appointment at 12 , he looks in his calendar it is at 5, I said okay cool I can come back I am just not trying to wait several hours in this shop as I don't feel good. Then he goes on to tell me he doesn't tattoo sick people because a tattoo will make them worse, Ive got a cold, and Ive waited 2 hours now, 6 weeks and I am being turned away, still an unfinished tattoo, how come nobody called him after an hour to confirm? How come the artist can be sick but not me, How come there is zero communication within the shop, and with clients?

I handed Jacob the idea of what my wife & I wanted asked him to put is own spin on it (toddlers draw better then I do) & what he came up with was awesome he kept it within our range & we got an amazing yet simple tattoo. Exactly what we wanted. Jacob is our new go to tattoo guy.

Went in to this shop to get some lettering done on my fingers. Kevin tells me before we start that it will be $200. After we get done he says, "that took a little longer than expected; how does $250 sound?" Having asked him to touch up a couple of other things as well I was just fine with $250 and in addition gave him a $50 tip equaling $300. I go back in a few days later to talk about a few minor fixes and he gets offended telling me I'll have to wait a month or so before he'll even think about doing anything. Which was fine as they needed to heal. I called him later that day to let him know I hadn't meant to offend him and he says, "hey man I'm not touching those up for free. I don't know anyone that touches up fingers for free." Well I have many tattoos and have never been charged for touch ups after the healing process. This shop may have been there a long time, but their customer service is terrible. I am now going to pay someone else to do the touch ups that this shop should be taking care of. Don't go to this shop!!
