Great Wave Tattoo

My wife and I decided to try our luck and see if we could get walk in tattoos. This shop was recommended. We were seen and both taken care of in a very professional manner. I was tattooed by David and my wife was tattooed by Steven, both artist were great and worked well with our ideas. They had great detail in both tattoos and finshed them in a timely manner. The price was very reasonable and seemed perhaps like a deal due to the amount of detail and work went into the tattoos. We will for sure come back to this shop.

My husband and I have been getting tattooed by Jason Brooks at Great Wave for about 10 years. He and his entire shop are amazing and always very professional. I’m in love with all of the amazing art and old photos that envelop the walls. All of the staff are friendly and always willing to assist you with all of your tattoo needs. I enjoy visiting the shop and getting to talk with everyone to see how they all are. They are a great bunch of artists and I HIGHLY recommend this shop. We drive 4 hours from Dallas just to get tattooed. Go check them out!

Sometimes it can be so incredibly nerve racking to go into a tattoo shop. Everyone at Great Wave makes you feel comfortable when you walk through the door. There isn't this air of pretentiousness and that your tattoo idea might be "stupid". I have gotten several tattoos for Jenna Lee and I will follow her wherever she goes. How do I even describe her...she gives you a sense of calm just being around her. I have asked her to do several different styles of tattoo and every one I am in love with and constantly receive compliments. All of the guys in the shop are so kind which in years of being tattooed, I have found not to be the case in a lot of shops. I recommend Jenna at Great Wave to everyone I possibly can. Everyone there does absolutely amazing work as well. Can't say enough great things about this shop.

I had a really great experience at Great Wave, with Jenna giving me my very first tattoo! I am really happy with the work she did! I emailed them on Monday morning, and by late afternoon I was walking out with my tattoo finished. As a gay guy, I’m sometimes apprehensive about going into new places, but this shop felt very welcoming. It’s clean, open, and really beautiful! There is so much artwork and color everywhere that I felt very at ease. And the location is great! Somehow it’s convenient but still feels quiet. I can’t thank them enough! I will definitely return 👍🏻

I don’t know if this is a waste of time, or if anyone really reads reviews now a days. I’m quite young yet I find myself drawn to reading them before I visit a place. Should I worry myself that I’m becoming old? Anyways. People here are amazingly talented, they have vision, and can get something done in a jiffy. I felt welcomed right when I walked through that door and it’s something not every place has. The books of work out in the front are insane and show how much effort they put into their customers time. Now, I’m not here to bash anyone else on the block but this place is my hands down next spot for the next few years while I grow my tattoos. If you worry about prices, don’t be, you won’t even question the price once you see how quick and bright they are to your wants. You’ll even want to leave a hearty tip. If anyone read this the whole way through, good! Now you know that this is well your moneys worth.

Walked in for my first tattoo and was placed with Bart. He was great; super professional and relaxed. Drew up exactly what I wanted and tatted me with precision. Really good vibes in the shop.

Absolutely love this place and their staff! I usually get my tattoos done by someone in San Marcos, but since he was out of town, I had to find some other options. I saw the website, and every artist seemed talented and I had no preference for who did my tattoo (which is rare). I was on a time constraint since my friend was in town only for a couple of days, and they were able to fit me in the day I called. Nick did my tattoo and i'm more than thrilled with it, and James did my best friend's tattoo and did a stellar job. Definitely coming to y'all in the future!

came in as a walk in, with a small tat i wanted done quickly with good quality. i’ve gone here with my friends who have gotten similar things here so i thought i’d take a shot. as a woman i’ve found a lot of traditional tattoo shops treat you like you have no clue what you’re talking about and are very condescending. this place is the exact opposite. i’ve only ever been met with friendly faces who treat you professionally and equally. i got tattooed by stephen and he made it so comfortable! he kept up good conversation and did super quality and professional work. 10/10 would recommend and WILL be going back

I love this studio and always go to James. He’s a great artist and a very nice person to interact with during the process.
As a woman, i think it is important to have an artist that you feel comfortable with and can trust your body to. He is an A+ for all of this in my books.

Hector did my cover up tattoo and it looks amazing. Well blended and they took walk ins! Would definitely recommend.
