I wanted a very specific tattoo which was a dainty cross with my mom's name on it on my wrist. Easy to hide, but I would always be able to see her with me.
I went to Atomic Tattoo on Burnet and the guy shot me down right away. He said my font wasn't possible and the size was too small. I let him know I was open to font ideas and he basically brought back block letters and wanted me to do it much larger and on a different location. That wasn't what I wanted so I walked away.
My friend recommended we try a different artist as maybe he wasn't specialized in what I wanted. We then came to Atomic Tattoo Research where my artist was Danoski. He was so professional and showed me work he had done similar to what I wanted. He gave me different font options that could work along with size options. He recommended we move the tattoo slightly down my wrist as the area I wanted had too much movement, but kept it as close to the area without compromising the tattoo. I told him I wanted the tattoo in light gray, he did recommended black or dark gray, but I told him I wanted it to be faint. He trusted me and moved forward with what I wanted.
I am so happy with his work and can't wait to post a picture of my tattoo fully healed.

Recently got a tattoo with Adam, and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. The shop is clean, and I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. Adam listened to my ideas, and truly delivered! I also appreciate the fact that he did not rush, but really took the time to make sure the tattoo was perfect, and that it was up to both of our standards. I would highly recommend this location and Adam to anyone in need of some new ink!

I called the Research location yesterday to see if they had any walk-in appointments available. They said yes so I showed up. The guy said there wasn’t anybody to do the tattoo until 4 pm. I drove around for two hours then went back. He said no one was available and I had gotten there around 4. I just wanted a small globe tattooed on my inner ankle. Something that would take a few minutes. I went to the Duval location and got it done. They were a lot more professional there. I was able to have the tattoo done in twenty minutes. It turned out amazing so I’d highly recommend the Duval location and not Research. Also there were two ladies who came in when I was done and they told an artist that the Research location said they didn’t have anyone available for walk-ins when they said they had walk-in appointments available.

Absolutely wonderful, got my first tattoo here on the 30th. Artist was amazing at keeping me calm and making the experience enjoyable. Tattoo has a lot of meaning to me and to have it be done so well is wonderful. Establishment is very clean as well! I definitely was confident that I wasn’t gonna get a disease haha! Will definitely be back again.
Side note: Establishment is very military friendly!

I took my 14 year old daughter here to get a second set of piercings and her helix done. Sarah talked my daughter through the process, explained what was going to happen, how to take care of her ears and what to watch for. She was very friendly, professional and efficient.
Before we were done, there was an email with care instructions in my mailbox.
The shop is very clean and tidy with an open concept layout which gave the place an inviting vibe.
I highly recommend it for piercings.
