Kustom Thrills Tattoo

I had a great experience at Kustom Thrills! This was my first tattoo so I was very nervous. Jake Omen was my tattoo artist and I couldn't have asked for anyone better! He made me feel comfortable the whole time. I am totally in love with my tattoo! Before I came in, he was always quick to respond to my emails. The studio was very clean and had a fun atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I posted a review on here Two weeks ago about my experience and how poorly it was. My first artist failed at communicating with me and letting me know ahead of time on how things work for him (which was coming up with the design/artwork day of tattoo). I waited over 7 weeks for a tattoo and was let down. I got so irritated that I started to give up on this shop! But Chris the owner reached out to me and helped me out and changed my whole perspective on getting tattoos and also getting me a new artist at his sister location!!! I was deeply impressed by Chris’s care and concern about me and all his clientele and how determined he was to change my perspective and prove his company is the best! He turned this experience around and made changes within his business to benefit the future. I took it to heart of Chris reaching out to just a regular guy like myself and showing his concerns and wanting to fix the issues and introduce new policies amongst his crew during this hard time! I was very impressed and pleased with my second go around with my new artist Kyle that I will be returning to them again for more work that I want done! Kyle was fantastic with communication and gave me a great piece I can appreciate forever. Kustom Thrills continues to impress, and make things right for their clients. 5++ stars.

Never gotten a tattoo before, but I did about a month ago. And I’ll definitely say, the atmosphere is comfortable and chill. The artists and staff is super friendly and fun. I went in for a walk in tattoo, and Cait Bush did my tattoo, and she was amazing and had such an amazing personality. I have yet to go back, and I will definitely recommend this place for my friends or anyone who wants a tattoo.

Beyond professional!! Clean, organized, prompt responses via email and phone, exceptional customer service. Forrest Pollock is a talented artist who was able to bring my tattoo ideas to life and did a beautiful job. I have two more pieces that I can't wait for him to do later this year and I will gladly continue traveling from Knoxville to Nashville to get tattooed at Kustom Thrills.

Made an appointment with these people for my sisters bachelorette party. They never took us in, and gave bad communication. They never took us in and wouldn’t take deposit over the phone. Wouldn’t advise to go here

I went to see Blake Owen for my first tattoo and it was the absolute best experience I could’ve asked for. Everyone, including the receptionist Keelie, was so kind and cool. In LOVE with my tattoo and will be a repeat offender. Go here!!

Got my first tattoo on my right forearm 5 years ago they did an excellent job

My wife called to set me up an appointment for Christmas with Ryan. The receptionist said I needed to come in for a consultation. She told the receptionist that I didn't get off work until after 4, the receptionist said that anytime after 4 would be perfect. I arrived at 4:30 for my consultation and the receptionist said Ryan was picking up t shirts and she didn't know what time he would be back. I didn't feel like waiting for an unknown time so I figured I would come back tomorrow. Come to find out Ryan didn't work tomorrow. Later that evening I decided to go more the black and grey route. I did some research and noticed a tattooer here by the name of Abel would be perfect for what I wanted. I called the shop and asked if Abel would be there tomorrow. The receptionist told me that yes he would in fact be there. I told her I wanted to SCHEDULE a consultation. I told her I could be there at 5. She said he had a tattoo starting at 5 but he could definitely talk to me. I decided I would come 15 minutes early so I wouldn't interrupt anything. When I arrived I told the same receptionist I was there for a 5 pm consultation with Abel. She looks over at him and said hes tattooing but if I could wait he could talk to me. I waited for over an hour and nobody ever came over and gave me an update or asked to reschedule. I ended up walking out frustrated 2 days in a row. I can't fault the artists in this but, there is definitely some communication issues between the receptionist and the tattooers. I would recommend scheduling a 15 minute block for consultations instead of just winging it. Makes for upset ex-potential customers. They have great artists here, but other shops are WAY more organized with scheduling and communication between artist and client. We're in Nashville, there are a lot of great artists at a hand full of great shops. I considered Kustom Thrills top 3 based on artists alone. You have to set yourself apart by creating an easy experience for the client. I never once spoke to an artist and I was there 2 days in a row for consultations. I ended up scheduling a Friday appointment in the future at another shop just by emailing the artist on a Sunday mind you (shop was closed and it was his day off). A couple pics sent back and fourth, paid the deposit online and the artist sent me a calendar invite via email. This is how it should be done.

I would recommend Kustom Thrills to anyone looking for talented artists. It's a great atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. Matthew Monroe did an amazing job for me and my friends and we couldn't be happier with our tattoos.
