Can't say enough good things about Esoteric Tattoo and the talented artists that work there! Been getting work done here for a number of years now and it's safe to say I'll never go anywhere else. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone that'll listen. Dominick, the owner, is probably one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet. Every artist goes above and beyond for their clients. Their work is incredible. Best tattoo shop in Portland.

Dominick has been working on my leg sleeve and has been absolutely amazing. I’m so thankful I stumbled upon this shop two years ago, I found my forever ink home. All of the artists are so versatile and incredible in their individual styles, I’m certain you will find a good fit at Esoteric. Also, the team has been following guidelines closely to keep their clients and artists safe during the COVID pandemic. I have been going to random shops across the US for some time now, never have I met such a great group of artists.

Lindsay @ Esoteric is the GOAT. period. She has the hands of a heart surgeon and can create the most beautiful, fine lined tattoos that you thought only existed on Pinterest wish boards!
For me so far I’ve only had the one tattoo from her (but plenty others before) and Now I’ll never go to anyone else. She’s hilarious, sweet and so so kind. I see some negative reviews here and am blown away because these people clearly have NO idea who Lindsay is.. So, if you are looking for a tattoo artist to take your crazy tattoo idea and bring it to life in ways you couldn’t have imagined, Lindsay is your girl!

I’ve gotten multiple pieces from Dom and I cannot say enough amazing things about the entire experience(s). The shop is VERY VERY clean, Dom and his fellow artists create a super fun environment while still maintaining a level of professionalism that can make anyone comfortable. The tattoo that I first got from Dom was finished almost 10 years ago and it’s still very bright and beautiful. I would 100% recommend.

My fiance and I both had tattoos done with Elli Adams, and she was AWESOME. She was incredibly patient with us and really worked to make sure we felt very confident in our designs. We both got fairly large pieces (left ribcage for me, forearm half sleeve for him) and enjoyed the whole experience. We were both asking for pretty nerdy, specific designs, and she totally rose to the occasion. The shop is clean and professional. Definitely recommend.

Dominick is one of the most amazing tattoo artists I’ve ever seen!!! His work is so beautiful!!!! He is on point!! Smart, intelligent designs and really works with his client’s desires.... Dominick and his crew are kind and professional. Safety and cleanliness are a top priority. They’re first rate artisans and masters of their trade. More important to me than anything: they treat you like you belong there.
Dominick’s use of color (although he loves grayscale) and frighteningly precise realism would give any of the great renaissance artists a run for their money. Seriously, look at his catalog. You won’t find a better artist anywhere.
If you’re clicking around the internet, looking at reviews and trying to decide on a shop: Take 5 minutes to check their website before moving on. A tattoo is forever(ish), don’t go somewhere that you’re going to regret!

Coleman did an amazing job with my tattoo. I wasn’t too clear of what I wanted, but he somehow was able to create something better than I would have asked for clearly. I let him take the reigns and he did not disappoint. I was a bit of a baby, but he was patient and kept me distracted.
Additionally, esoteric obliged and followed all CDC guidelines with sanitization and mask use. Can’t wait to come back for any of my future tattoo needs.
