Monolith Tattoo Studio

Edward has been working with me on a full sleeve tat for several years now (including a cover-up) and his skills are second to none. He's always booked out at least 4- 6 months.... but it's worth the wait! Can't recommend him enough.

I was in town for my birthday, back in March and their studio was hosting a flash tattoo event! Sweetb.tattoos did the most beautiful geo mountain range on my bicep! She was very professional, sweet and fun! I’m looking forward to my next appt with her!

I've gotten multiple tattoos from the students and from different artists and this is hands down one of my favorite shops in Oregon. The talent coming out of this studio is real and everything is clean and professional all around.

The manager and Taya are the worst. They called 2 hours before my appointment to cancel and offered another appointment almost a month away, this after waiting for a month to get the appointment they just scheduled. They could care less when I talked to them on the phone. It cost me money to have that appointment cancelled at the last minute - dog sitter, day off work, etc. They really don’t care about their customers schedules. Arrogant management. If you want an appointment that will actually be honored or management that cares, look somewhere else. This wasn’t the only appointment that they have cancelled or rescheduled on me at the last second. They broke their own rules set out in the waiver you must sign. "If a customer is more than 15 minutes late, then the tattoo will be rescheduled." There is no way Taya's first appointment was only 1-15 minutes late and it completely threw her off by hours, which means they prioritized this customer and finished his/her tattoo by cancelling my appointment. I wonder why? Good friend? More expensive tattoo? That client should've had his appointment end at the previously prescribed time, rather than cancelling mine to finish his/hers. Unprofessional at best.

When I met Taya for my consult, she was standoff-ish and really didn’t listen to my suggestions. Felt very arrogant, but I was assured her work was great. I think she might have said 3-4 words to me, but I took a chance anyway. Now I wish I didn’t waste all that time waiting for Monolith to just cancel again.

Everyone at Monolith is awesome, i’ve worked with Taya specifically in the past & she’s done many tattoos on my friends and family - everyone has only great things to say. Her work is always immaculately executed and she’s consistently friendly and kind. Both of Monolith’s locations are clean, beautiful and run smoothly with a welcoming counter staff. If you’re looking for a warm, professional and friendly tattoo shop full of talented artists, I can’t recommend Monolith and Taya enough.

Let me just say at this point I want to get every single tattoo done here lol. The environment here is so amazing. Its calming and friendly and does nothing but make you feel welcome whether it's your first time or your 100th. From the very first second your greeted by 2 of the most amazing ladies I've ever met to check you in and explain everything. Second they have such a diverse selection of artists here that if you cant find what your looking for your not looking hard enough. Personally to start I'm doing a full Pacific nw sleeve so I chose to go with keisha and let me say if I could time travel I would make the same choice over and over again. She is by far the most non judgmental most patient and most all around caring person I could have found to be my "first".... and second and third( like I said. She is doing the entire sleeve.) I am almost 10 hours into my sleeve and she is just amazing. She is there to make money dont get me wrong, everyone is, but you would never know. She makes it seem like the only reason she is there is for you and for the art and I'm pretty sure that's mostly true. Nothing feels rushed and your not made to feel like a burden of you need a break. (Small bladder. My bad!) Bottom line, if you want a tattoo and you dont ar least go to monolith to check it out you are making the biggest mistake of your life.
