I literally cannot express enough love for this tattoo shop, but especially for artist Terin Marie! She has taken my scribbles, my eclectic ideas, and even my reference pics to create a multitude of personalized amazing pieces of art on my skin! She created a gigantic memorial piece for my father 5 years ago that people still think is fresh today! She has created a piece with my mothers signature. She created my husband and Is wedding rings. She custom made and created a leg piece that could be hung in a gallery. This womans talent is mind blowing and I do not trust another single sole to tattoo on my skin any longer....she has been my ONLY artist for over 10 years. I absolutely love going there. Gorilla was the first place I ever went to get a tat. The artists there are super friendly and I enjoy there company every time I go in. I won a couple silent auctions at a fundraiser for 3 tattoo gift certificates ($50 each) for the same artist at Gorilla tattoo. I thought Great! I'll get $150 worth of ink for a good cause! When I started talking to her about an appointment she said they all have to be used by different people for one appointment each and 1 per person. No such conditions are stated on the gift certificates and nothing of the sort was mentioned/noted at the auction.
Stop and think about this for a second......$50 doesn't get you far when it comes to ink. It would be very difficult to keep any decent tattoo under $100. It's obvious these limitations are imposed simply to drum up more business from multiple customers and yet she considers this a "charitable act".
I would only hold this against the artist because it was all done under her name but Gorilla filtered my concerns from their facebook and have made no effort to reach out to me on this matter.
I'll stick with Monolith, Mum's, Dragonfly......anywhere but Gorilla
