My husband and I came to Albuquerque due to a sudden death in my family. I wanted a tattoo to symbolize the death of my nephew and wanted it done in the city he died in. We just happened to be driving by and saw True Love Tattoo. It turned out to be the best stop we could have made! I showed Rick Valdez a picture of what I wanted and why i wanted it. Well, he surpassed all expectations with the tattoo he gave me!! And to top it off, he's a fellow Texan! We may just have to drive the 883 miles from Houston to get another tattoo from him! I don't think I can go back home and have anyone else do a tattoo on me-I have found the best one! Thank you, Rick, for making my tattoo so beautiful and meaningful!

Had my 1/2 sleeve finished by Rick. He listened to what I wanted and drew up some art that fit perfect on my arm. Tattoo is 2 weeks old and healing nicely. Great laid back vibe while getting worked on and a huge TV to watch during the process. I highly recommend Rick Torres if you're in the market for some ink.

Moved to ABQ a week ago,
Wanted to commemorate the transition from the big city (H-town) to ABQ.
True Love is just down the street from my place so,
I rolled in and talked to Rick about a tattoo and he went to work on the stencil and was good to go.
The tattooing was damn near painless (Right forearm) and have gotten lots of 2nd looks and compliments on the tat.
It looks like a sticker frfr.
Already dropped $$ on Rick for doing a full sleeve & a cover-up tat.

I consulted with Rick torres and was quoted for a half sleeve like tattoo about 1200-1500, and was informed that he would like me to commit initially roughly half the price, which ended to be 800.00 USD. Recognizing the size of the piece i committed 800.00 on 02.25.2019 and was informed this would cover 7 hours of work (as the down deposit was 100.) Our first session lasted about 1.5 hours, and he did tend to drive by appointments that day after paying him 800. the following session 03.02.2019 lasted about 2 hours total, and was pushed behind an hour for another drive by appointment, and to my relief I was instructed I was still payed up for next session as the unprofessional ism was making me very nervous. Fast forward to the session to date 3.09.2019 he requests I pay him another 800 before he would work on my piece any further, declining the 4 residual hours he owed me for service. Due to my ambivalence I had to decline and I was greased out of 300.00. Do not pay this man up front, ask for receipts as he did not give me one, and take video evidence of your transactions as he only deals with cash.
