Black Mammoth Tattoo & Piercing

Recently had Adrian do a full back piece for me and I couldn't have asked for a better tattooer. He was able to depict my image into a masterpiece. Everyone from the front desk to the piercing staff was amazing! You would regret not going to Black Mammoth for your piercing or tattoo work. Thanks again guys!

Robert has done both of my tattoos and done excellent work! JJ has done multiple piercings for me. The staff is very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend them for any tattoo or piercing!

I've been to Rob for all 3 of my tattoos and I've been blown away every time. Even though Rob is the only one who has done work on me I can tell the rest of the shop is incredibly professional and cares deeply about their art.

Robert is absolutely amazing!!! I get stopped on a daily and get asked where I got my work done and I'm more than happy to tell them black mammoth in Manhattan ks so if you're looking to get some ink or even a piercing this is the spot. Its very clean and everyone is very professional.

I called black mammoth tattoo and piercings and the receptionist was really helpful and efficient with everything she told me. I went up there for 4 ear piercings and the paper work was short and to the point, I only waited about 15 minutes before they sent me in. The piercer JJ was literally the easiest guy to talk to I've ever met while they were at work. He sat me down and went through the conditions of getting piercings that the receptionist told me about again, they really make sure you understand what you need to do afterwards which is really professional, and they really care about making sure you're taken care of. We got to the piercing part and it was awesome how perfect they ended up, if I ever want more piercings (which I probably will) I'll be going back to them.

P.S. I didn't get a tattoo but while I was waiting I watched this lady getting one of a flower, and the artistry was superb, I would have loved to have it on my body.

I went in for a nose piercing with JJ. I was extremely nervous and he made the whole experience comfortable. He explained things in detail and made sure I knew to come back or get a hold of him if I had any problems or questions. He was quick and his station was clean and neat.

I have had quite the adventure with Brandi over the past year! I’ve always had the dream of getting a Star Wars sleeve of my favorite characters and Brandi has made my dream a reality. Not only is my sleeve amazing, but each session I have had with them has been amazing. They are all chill, and they are all great to have conversations with. I have referred my friends, family, and coworkers here. I will not go anywhere else!

I was initially really excited to get my tattoo from here, as their work looks great, but once I actually paid a deposit, they didn't want anything to do with me. I contacted them and they said I would need to go in for a quote, no problem. I went in and spoke with Robert, who barely acknowledged me, I told him what I wanted and he looked at me and said "ok, yea I can do that" and that was it. So I booked a Saturday appointment for a few weeks out since he was pretty booked up, put a deposit down and left. The day of my appointment I got a call from the receptionist that Robert had an emergency come up and wouldn't be able to make the appointment and their next saturday appointment was a few more weeks out. I decided to be patient and make a new appointment. Nearly 3 months after I got the first quote, I found out I was pregnant. I called to see if I could transfer the deposit to my husband and they said that was fine. When we sent the idea into Robert (note they didn't ask we come in for the quote this time), he said he didn't want to do it, and didn't offer any ideas of what he could do instead or explain why he wouldn't do it. And it was nothing insane, it was a landscape of a river and trees. When I was finally able to get tattooed again, I decided to call and see I could set a new appointment. The only hurdle being that my husband is deployed so I would need to take my son to daycare and get the tattoo started a little earlier in the day, which shouldn't be a problem since the shop opens at noon. Well, I guess Robert is too important or something to go into work 2 hours early to accommodate a client who already paid a deposit, who he initially cancelled on, because I was told he would only work his set schedule from 2-8. This wouldn't be an issue if my sons daycare didn't require him be picked up by 4pm, which means I would need to leave the shop at 330, which would only give us 1.5 hours to do any work. When I asked if I could move the deposit to a different artist who was willing to go in early, I was told no, but I would be able to pay a new deposit for a different artist. When I asked for a copy of the deposit agreement, they wouldn't send me a copy, they just told me it was on my appointment card. Even though their artist cancelled the appointment and refuses to make reasonable accommodations, I still cannot get my deposit back.

Tl;dr - These artist don't care about the clients, they only care about their pockets, find someone else who actually WANTS your business, not just your money.

Got work done by Robert. He did an absolutely amazing job. Hands down the best shop in the area. Everyone there was friendly and cheerful, great vibes and beautiful art. Definetly going back for the rest of my sleeve!
