Firefly Tattoo Collective LLC

This was my first experience getting a tattoo and I could not have hoped for a better environment and end product. Laura did my tattoo and she was fantastic, from the design and planning phase through the actual tattooing.

The facility is great; clean, comfortable, and has a great artistic feel to it. The process they have put together for getting in touch with an artist, setting up and appointment, and follow up is seamless and very convenient.

Firefly Tattoo Collective really cares about the work they do and you can see it in their product.

NOT CLOSED. Not sure why it is showing up that way on Yelp, as I just got a tattoo there today by Laura Black. However, it is by appointment only, and you'll probably have to get on a waiting list before you can even get a consult. I waited over a year from first contact to actually getting my tattoo. I'm so glad I waited, and could not be happier with my first tattoo.

Regarding the artist, Laura worked with me to design the tattoo to incorporate several elements that were important to me, even getting the technical details correct on the tatted lace frame. I make tatted lace, so it was important for it to be accurate. I love it so much that I am already looking at source material ideas for my next tattoo (or two...) by Laura.

Regarding the studio, it is a beautiful space, more like an art studio than a tattoo shop, with tons of natural lighting. It is also super clean. If you happen to bring someone else with you to your appointment, each workstation has a couch for them to comfortably sit and observe from.

I am super impressed with Firefly Tattoo Collective. I got a piece done by Gerrit (and am in the process of getting more) and the whole process was handled well. The appointment only basis creates a professional atmosphere from the beginning and the work that all of them put out is outstanding. Everyone was very friendly and made it a comfortable environment. You might have to wait a bit as many of the artists are booked in advance, sometime several months, but the end product is by far worth it!

I love firefly tattoo. Geritt is an unbelievable artist and did my first tattoo which was a big arm piece. He made me feel at ease going through the tattoo process for my first time and I really appreciated that. Highly recommended

The people at firefly tattoo collective are great! The philosophy behind firefly tattoo is that the environment should be conducive to a peaceful and client centered experience. Appointments are done via email. There are no walk-in or phone calls allowed. I thoroughly recommend checking them out!

I've been a client of Gerrit's for almost 2 years. The tattoo he did back then still looks great! Even though I'm pretty dark complected, and the colors still look fantastic. I originally came to him after being frustrated with 3 other shops. He's done some touch ups and done new pieces, and they all look fantastic! I'm always proud to show them off :) He's a very talented artist, both with tattoos and his other pieces! I love the relaxing, friendly environment in Firefly. Dina and Laura are very talented, friendly people, who are usually working very hard to design tattoos for their own clients when I'm there. I regularly recommend Firefly for any of my friends wanting a good looking tattoo!

This is simply an excellent shop. The artists all have a strong fine arts background and love their work. I came to my artist, Gerrit, with a concept, and the composition that he developed blew me away. He incorporated everything I wanted into a design that I never could have envisioned. The atmosphere of Firefly is genuine and friendly. It is a comfortable environment to get a tattoo for anybody who appreciates the art of the industry. They really value you as a customer and an individual. This isn't some shop where they just want your money, here they care about you and your design.

I recently had two tattoos completed by Laura and had a great experience. These were my very first tattoos, so I was incredibly nervous. However, Laura made me feel completely comfortable and made sure I liked the design, location, size, etc. before we started. After that I took a deep breath and let it go. Laura did a great job of knowing when I was a bit tired and need to take a break. I'd highly recommend their studio. All three were there while I was in the studio - and were great chatting with. The studio is a great location downtown.

Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice professional tattoo in a clean and comfortable environment. Kimberly did mine and my wife's tattoos and they came out amazing. The other artists I'm sure are very good as well. Take a look at their website and see which artist's portfolio appeals to your style the best. This was my first experience getting a tattoo and the atmosphere of the shop along with their client based process really guarantees that you will leave happy with the result.
