I asked Adam the owner to design (the balance of) a sleeve and touch up an existing tattoo on my arm.
Our first day he showed me one single tattoo and not a sleeve. So that was the first disappointment. However I was excited to get started and liked what he showed me so we got started.
I booked several “full day” appointments. Where I’m from a full days work is 8 hours minus a break.
So.. after 3 hours of work (if that because he took forever to get started) and a half hour break Adam decided he was done for the day. I asked him about what he wanted to charge because it wasn’t a full day. He replied anything over 3.5 hours is a full day for him. So I paid $1000 for a tattoo that took him if 3 hours to complete. I booked full days at $1200.
Moving forward Adam and I agreed to discount a future session. Also in the meantime he never worked on our design at all. When I messaged him about ideas I wanted he never responded to them.
When I showed up to my next session it was awkward. He took one look at the work he did and said it wasn’t healed enough to proceed. It was almost a full month later and looked completely healed. I asked him to work on a section of my arm that was completely away from the tattoo he called not healed and he declined.
It was at this point that I had lost faith in his professionalism, and decided that between his unwillingness to complete a design, communicate about the design, the previous mentioned issue about what he considered a full day, that I was just done playing games with Adam.
I own my own business and it is a big deal to set a day aside.
I realize that this is just my experience with Adam and it may not be yours and I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else.. but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND communicating with Adam about the EXACT number of hours he’s going to work on EACH of your appointments and how much he expects you to pay for those hours. And if something comes up where he won’t be tattooing for the agreed upon number of hours then at what rate will he charge you hourly.
Lastly, I would’ve given 1 star but I do like my tattoo.

Hands down thee best tattoo shop I’ve walked into. From the art work, cleanliness, atmosphere, and staff! My man Kiddo Castillo rocked my first neck tatt and I couldn’t be more happier! His artwork is phenomenal and he puts his all into it. Just a great person to be around and I was actually sad I had to leave. I was able to walk around and see the other artists work as well. They all do amazing work! Just an awesome experience and I can’t wait to go back!!! HIGH CLASS STUDIO IS WHERE ITS AT!

This was my FIRST tattoo (I'm 80 y/o) and MIGUEL did a fantastic job. It was exactly as I designed it. Done very professionally. Can't say enough about the artist and the establishment. Great bunch of fellows treating a first-timer like an old friend. Wonderful experience. If you are looking for THE BEST, THIS IS THE PLACE.

I called in the day before to book my appointment for my very first Tattoo. I ended up getting 3 and had a great experience with Briant! He’s awesome made me feel at ease and my tattoos turned out amazing! Overall everyone was super welcoming, the place is clean and just great vibes. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I have a handful of pretty small tattoos but never found an artist I liked enough for bigger pieces until I came across John. I found his page on instagram and immediately knew I wanted his work on me. He was super easy to get in contact with and quick to respond. My experience at the shop was also great! The shop was very clean and 6 hours flew by so quickly. I am in LOVE with my tattoo and so many people have complimented me on it telling me it's the best work they've ever seen. It was worth every penny and more. I'm definitely sticking with John from here on out and I can't wait to schedule another appointment.

Best Tattoo Shop in Illinois!!! Clean, professional, amazing energy and atmosphere. The all the artists are sensational, I personally go to Adrian but you can't go wrong with any of them. All the work I've seen from the others artists in person and on Instagram as been flawless, very creative and well done. Highly recommended.

Rudest place & customer service ever. Do not go here, go find a more professional place to get tattooed. They do not care about their customers. No idea how they have 4.9 stars with how they treat their customers.

Highly recommend High Class Studio! I was in and had work done by John. Amazing artist with an great eye for detail. I'm beyond happy with my tattoo.Very clean and great artists in there. So much talent all around. Have already recommended John to a few friends, including my husband. I will definitely be back.
