Back in 2001, I got my first tattoo and committed the classic blunder of relying on the tattoo shop to have properly translated Chinese characters, only to find out later they didn't say what I was told they said. Thankfully, it was just nonsense, not something bad. Over the years, whenever I spoke with tattoo artists most scoffed at the notion of doing any "cover up" work.
I first met with John Guanlao at Immaculate Ink 2 weeks ago to set up a consultation meeting. I came to him with some rough sketches of what I was thinking about, how to convert this old, nonsensical tattoo into something meaningful. John was excited to do the cover up and particularly excited to explore the historically Christian themes of the tattoo design. I was on a tight schedule, so he worked in a 2-day (Monday and Thursday) schedule to knock out the work. I couldn't be happier with the end result.
John collaborates well, listens to the client, and comes up with some great ideas of his own once he has a feel for what the client is looking for. The office has a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I look forward to working with John again in 6 months or so.

Immaculate Ink is by far the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had. I have a large portion of my body covered in tattoos, from various artists across the country, ranging from places such as New York, Florida, and even Delaware. At first, I was skeptical, like a religious tattoo parlor? That’s unheard of or atleast not very common, but after meeting the friendly staff and the owner John, I was already blown away. John is very intelligent and extremely passionate about his craft. He’s been tattooing for decades and he takes pride in work, as well as does everything he can to ensure his customers are satisfied. John tattoos extremely quick, but don’t let that fool you, he uses extreme precision, this means the price of any piece you’re looking to get can’t be beat if John does it for you. He has now done 3 pieces for me and a large piece on my wife, that was hand drawn himself. John will forever have my business and I would highly recommend him for any of your tattoo needs.

Madi did a wonderful job with my first nostril piercing. She helped calm my nerves, answered ALL my questions with utmost patience, made me feel comfortable & completely welcome, & made the whole process quick & easy. It was pretty sore right afterward (duh) but I was surprised to have no pain after I took a dose of ibuprofen at home. I'll definitely be back!

My daughter got her nose pierced by Madi and she did an awesome job! She made sure to explain the process before and during the whole process. If you are looking to get a piercing, do not hesitate Madi is great. And for a bonus, her voice was soothing to me (as well as my daughter) as she explained the process to keep my daughter calm through the process.

I knew immediately that he was different than everyone else in town . They take their time , pay attention to the details and they are very nice and extra clean . More work coming from him soon !!
