I recently completed an Ironman triathlon and wanted the traditional “M dot” tattoo. I have gotten tattoos previously and always felt intimidated by the artist’s demeanor at other shops.
I didn’t experience this at all with Aaron! He had such a calm demeanor and took his time helping me select the size, color, and location for my tattoo. I never felt rushed yet I was in and out in less than an hour. The work is absolutely flawless and the after care has been easy. Highly highly recommend whether it is your first or your fifth tattoo. Photo is several hours after my appointment!

Having recently moved out to the St Pete area, I wanted a tattoo to commemorate the fresh start. After reviewing artist portfolios up and down the peninsula, I felt that Amulet Tattoos had the overall highest quality work in styles I liked. In particular, I chose Dean as my artist. We had a consult which was very thorough and scheduled an appt a few months out. Got it completed just last weekend and as it continues to heal up nicely I am only more excited about my tattoo. Dean worked hard and put up with the occasional flinch on my part (rookie) to create an awesome piece of art. Thank you!

This is the worst experience I’ve had with a tattoo artist ever. I made an appointment with Julio B for a fairly simple design to go on my shoulder. From the get go, he ushered me as if I was just some tourist getting a quick tattoo and didn’t even look too much to the pictures of my wants during the making of the appointment. When it came closer to the tattoo session, he was rude and acted like he didn’t want to even do the tattoo of just a capital C with a crown over it. We compromised on “detail” and then I went in for the appointment on 3/30. Not even 10 minutes into the pre tattoo consultation he was telling me that he didn’t want to do the tattoo and was going give me my deposit back for what seemed like for no reason. We were very close to getting a design I would want on my body forever, just had asked for two minor changes to his original design (size and a simple black line addition) but he snapped when I simply asked if he could outline a black cross with a thin black line. That seemed bizarre and unprofessional and I tried to be nice about and mention how close we were but he just waved me off and went to the back of the shop while I stood there embarrassed and shocked what just happened in front of a full tattoo parlor.... I’ve had several tattoos done in the past and the artist will sit there and we will go over what I expect but I never ask anything out of reach or ridiculous. Julio takes the cake as the rudest, most unhelpful tattoo artist I’ve ever met. I hope the rest of the artists in there are atleast nicer or experienced enough to tattoo a rather simple crown. One star just for the atmosphere and the two receptionists I talked to.

Went in looking to get a quick flash done, Tim did a great job on a frog on my calf and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. The coloring was done really well! I'd recommend Tim and Amulet to anyone going through St.Pete.

Charlie has done two lovely full color tattoos on my arm so far. He was patient in helping me figure out what I wanted and enthusiastic about my ideas. Amulet is beautiful, well decorated, and very clean inside. I'm looking forward to being tattooed by Charlie again in the future and am also very excited about an upcoming consult with Nick. Awesome shop!
