Hartford County Tattoo

Mediocre experience . Tattoo itself is ok, but charged a different amount than what was being told. I was charged $550+ for just two hours of line work. (which originally I was promised a $150/ hour rate, I also lost an additional $100 reserve fee since I wasn’t sure if the same thing would happen again and they don’t refund booking deposit ) Not even colored. Originally the planned design was a bigger piece that gets break into multiple sections and I got a four hour time booking, but then the artist last minute altered the first section design to a much smaller piece ( it was my first tattoo so I wasn’t sure about what to say). I thought since we would have time he would continue the design to the next section but he didn’t. I was offered a “discount” rate but somehow still had to pay $550+( the artist didn’t explain at all, he just say I’ll give you a discount and charged me $550, again first tattoo no experience and since it was during the weekend so no desk lady on site to explain just the artist himself ). Also, there were some commentaries during the session really just put me off and made me uncomfortable. I also tried to ask the artist how much it would be for the next session and he said he “don’t know” even though by then he should have a clear idea about the estimate, so I decided to cancel the next appointment since I am not sure if I would have the same thing happen to me again . (Thus losing the extra $100 deposit fee)🥲Originally called them and got a respond that they will try to make it right and I was being promised to be called by the manager to see if things can get resolved, but only received a call that got silenced due to phone settings and never being contacted again ( not even a voicemail). All and all disappointed.

2nd trip, people a very friendly intersting, just as the common areas is decorated with eclectic design of art and products.
Ample time was taken to look at and understand my vision for my tattoo and while injecting experience and ideas. This gave a positive overall experience and satisfaction with the direction my tattoo is going. I look forward to my following visits to complete this personal expression and to start my next.

Let me start off by saying I might be the most OCD person on the planet... Everything must be perfect and the tattoo I got from Chad was just that! He was so patient with every little tweak I made during the sketching process. He was so chill and laid back and gave me exactly what I wanted. His level of attention to detail was amazing!!!! I absolutely love the finished product. The shop manager (Amy?) was great, other artists were super nice, and it was such a cool atmosphere. There were really cool unique soap/bath products for purchase in the waiting area...got me some fight club soap while I was there!!!! Great stocking stuffers :) My husband will be going back to see Chad for a tattoo and I'm sure I will be doing the same. After years of somewhat jumping around from shop to shop, artist to artist....I can finally say that Chat is "my guy".

I got a tattoo here almost two years ago. They were extremely nice and very accommodating, it is very professional and clean inside. I wanted a simple black tattoo (a heart and semi colon combo). It was done quickly and looked pretty awful once healed. It had many spots that it was not filled in all the ways, the lines were sloppy, and it was not proportional. I was very surprised because the shop appears to be very nice and very professional. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the artist. I ended up getting the tattoo covered up and that artist was shocked at how bad it looked when I explained it to him. Luckily it looks much, much better now that it’s covered but I was extremely unhappy with how it turned out.

I had called in regards to setting up an appointment with Cheryl, not only was cheryl awesome with responding to my first email, the woman i spoke with over the phone was so great and helpful. Especially the first time i called she answered every question i had and explained the whole process to me. Very pleased and cannot wait until my appointment in August to have my first tattoo done !

This is hands down the best tattoo studio around. Extremely clean, great atmosphere, awesome display of local artists artwork. The work that comes out of the shop is top notch. Been going there for years and won't go to another studio

Rick was great. Spent time working back and forth until the tattoo was terrific.

Ive been following one of the tattoo artists there to his various shops for 6 years. He is my top choice, but everyone else there is friendly, funny, and extremely talented. The store is immaculately clean and organized.

Beyond being tattoo artists, these people are true artists, as their various paintings and other works hang on the walls. You get a feeling of comfort knowing that these people are so talented and passionate about what they do.

Got a memorial tattoo for my mother by Joe. He did an amazing job!! All of the staff were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend Hartford County Tattoo for anyone that would want to get their 1st or 20th tattoo. Going back for another one real soon.

Besides amazing art and tattoo quality, the staff at HCT are the most professional and clean artist I’ve ever had the pleasure of being tattooed by. A+ ratings for everything. I’ve had work done by JohnnyV and Cheryl S. I've also known the owner Chad for many many years. Great people at HCT.
