Loved my experience at High Desert Tattoo. Ian was great to work with and his attention to detail is stellar. I love my piece and hope I can get more work from Ian in the future. The shop is really clean and I love all the artwork in the space. Both shop owners are absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend this shop!

DO NOT GO HERE! Second review that this has happened. My daughter scheduled an appointment for her first tattoo and described what she wanted. Evan said we needed to send a $100 deposit to book the appointment. When he sent over the deposit request, the paperwork mentioned $50 for a small tattoo but he said it was a mandatory $100. The paperwork was not even drawn out in the current business name. In our correspondence with Evan we offered to send over what she wanted and he said he would just draw it up at the time of the tattoo. When we arrived, he refused to do what my daughter wanted, even when she changed the location from below the ankle to above at his request. He refused to do a small, abstract tattoo and drew on her ankle a design and said that would be the smallest and least detailed he would do. He did not offer to help with any other designs or ideas. We left without a tattoo, on her 18th birthday, and he refused the request to refund our $100 deposit. Would not recommend! They take your money and apparently enjoy ripping people off.

Very happy with my boyfriends and I’s tattoos! Evan was super professional and knew what would work and what wouldn’t. My boyfriend found a design that he liked and Evan put a good spin on it so that it wasn’t an exact copy. Probably the easiest booking i’ve ever dealt with for a tattoo as well, super fun experience.

This place was amazing! Angelina is amazing! The experience was amazing! I will 100% be back. My fiancé and I both went in with ideas for tattoos, and Angelina knocked it out of the park with custom designs. We are obsessed with our new ink! My only regret was that we don’t live in Estes Park, CO! We wish she and her husband lived closer! They have such a fun and laid back atmosphere and it was so chill! We felt very comfortable and will recommend for years to come! Definitely worth an 8 hour trip back in the future!

My husband and I recently got tattoos from Angelina. She was awesome. We had an idea of what we wanted, sent her examples, and she drew amazing tattoos for us. The fact we got matching tattoos with a few differences and she made the perfect had us ecstatic. We know we are walking around with one of a kind tattoos from a true artist. We highly recommend Angelina for anyone wanting a great tattooing experience.

Single greatest tattoo experience of my ENTIRE life, from start to finish. I emailed Angelina (owner & artist) with the broadest description of what I was interested in & she responded with more understanding of my idea than I even had yet.

The shop was clean, authentically local, and full of welcoming/ comfortable energy. Out of my now 11 tattoos, 5 of them include song lyrics. Not ONCE has any other artist done this for me, but without saying anything... Angelina played the song that inspired this tattoo & then continued to play music from the same band the entire time she worked on me. Honestly, her thoughtfulness would have been enough to make this the best experience before I even saw the finished project.

The piece is absolutely stunning (I'll return to share photos once healed!) The line work is sharp, the wording is crisp, and the different techniques of shadowing make it look like an absolute dream.

My only advice to you if you go to the Mystic Mustang (which you should) is... LISTEN TO HER, TRUST HER. She's the artist, she has the best interest of the tattoo at heart, she won't lead you astray. I went with every bit of wisdom she shared about my new piece & she was right about everything.

I visit Estes Park once a year & I'm already starting to come up with ideas for my next trip that I know I would only want done at the Mystic Mustang.

Just recently got a tattoo here. I loved the work and loved Angelina. She was comfortable working on myself and another person that came with me for roughly 4 hours. We had a great time. Very nice lady with great skills. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Evan gave me an awesome compass tattoo. Pricing was very reasonable and the shop was clean. We coordinated a reservation over email as we were on vacation and they very accommodating. And the art work is great. I would highly recommend this shop!!!!!!

Evan doesn’t like to answer questions, and is impatient and morose.
Please avoid this place like the plaque this isn’t “artist” I’ve come across, and very unprofessional.
Long story short. My tattoo is starting to crack and is now bumpy and patchy.
Zero stars if I could!

I went in with a couple friends to all get quick, goofy tattoos. Both Ian and Evan were stoked to work with us on our ridiculous designs by letting us draw and add on to what they came up with. They were both super friendly and enjoyable to be around - both awesome dudes. After I got mine done, I off handedly asked Ian about getting a design my friend had drawn on my arm the night before tattooed on. I expected him to tell me I could make another appointment to get it done another day, but he told me I could get it right then if I wanted, and he stayed an extra hour and half to do it. All of the tattoos turned out great, and I highly recommend high desert tattoos!
