"Sacramento Tattoo and Piercing is the oldest tattoo shop in Sacramento. Opened in 1991 it was acquired 1998 by Dave O’Connor and Eric Hogan; Dave became sole owner in 2002. After Dave's death in 2020, long-time tattoo artist Bill Lorenz took ownership. Sacramento Tattoo is a traditional street shop, open to walk-ins for flash or custom work. Everyone in the shop is kind, friendly and willing to talk to people just toying with the idea of getting their first tattoo/piercing, as well as the seasoned customer who wants to add to their collection of skin art. Located at 2722 X St, Sacramento CA 95818, between 27th and 28th streets, there is plenty of on-street parking. Due to Covid-19 concerns, please wear a mask and leave children at home."

I asked for a tattoo cover up, The tattoo artist made up his own tattoo to put on my body. Instead of giving me what I asked for! He could of said no I can not do, what u are asking of me!

They have always been supportive ...I only have a couple'a piercings... but they answer a million questions. Have great advice... if your work was done there they will remove and replace existing jewelry for free ...their prices seem pretty reasonable. And they seem to keep things very clean...

I came here recently to get a mediocre tattoo redone. Bill worked his magic and created something new and beautiful. He was also very patient with my need to take breaks. Jasmine was awesome too, giving me pep talks to keep focused. What a great place, great people, and great talent. Will post a pic when fully healed. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a shop to get my 6 y/o daughter's ear lobes pierced and was surprised to find that many shops would not do piercing on kids, though I can understand why I suppose. When I called Sacramento Tattoo & Piercing I spoke to Jasmine and I liked her POV right away, she said that if the child could express clearly that they wanted to be pierced then she would do it, assuming all the proper guardian permissions and documents.
Jasmine was great. She took her time and explained everything to us before she started. When my daughter picked out the jewelry and I approved, Jasmine took a moment to take it and show it to my wife in the other room as well to ensure there was consensus which I thought was very thoughtful.
When it came time to do the actual piercing she was honest and straight forward when communicating with my daughter, acknowledged and honored her slight nervousness, empathized, but didn't dwell on it or amplify it at all. She took her time to get the placement and explained why she recommended the spot she did, checked with us to make sure and then did the job just the way you would expect from a professional. It was smooth as can be and my daughter was ecstatic. It was a positive experience start to finish.

I love this shop. They are so humble and kind, not the usual attitude most tattoo shops have. They have great customer service, especially Cuz'n Bill, who has been tattooing longer than almost anybody in Sacramento and can tattoo in any style, and Julio, who does incredible black and grey work. They take the time to talk with you and make sure you are happy, and above all, they are exceptional with their cleanliness and knowledge of the industry and health codes!

I got my septum pierced by a pretty blond girl (I can't ever remember names) and she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Furthermore, the shop was very clean and inviting.I was very happy with how the piercing looked, and will definitely go back to her for more piercings in the future.

Tattoos are good but the customer service is not good I decided not to get my tattoo that the guy supposedly “drew up for me” (looked printed) and then e said very rudely walked away from and said I have another tattoo to do and then when I walked past him to leave he rudely asked for his drawing back. I don’t plan on coming back and if I did I’d make sure to ask for someone nicer . Because I did nothing wrog
